Early June (1–15) is generally safe and offers warm, pleasant trekking. After mid-June, the monsoon can bring heavy rain and thunderstorms that make the rocky upper trail slippery. Junegiri Yatra monitors daily forecasts and advises accordingly.
The Dhauladhar range receives heavy monsoon rainfall, particularly after June 15. We recommend completing the trek before June 20 to avoid the peak rain season. Early June is excellent — warm and mostly dry.
Triund (2,875m) nights are comfortable at 10°C–14°C in June — the warmest camping conditions of the season. Days can be hot on the lower forested Galu Devi trail, so starting early morning is recommended.
