Rishikesh Adventure Pack 2 Nights / 3 Days
Raft the Ganga. Jump from India's highest bungee. Camp under the stars.
About This Tour
Rishikesh is not just the yoga capital of the world — it is also India's undisputed adventure capital, and this 2-night, 3-day package is designed to give you the very best of it. Nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas where the holy Ganga rushes through ancient gorges, Rishikesh offers a cocktail of adrenaline and natural beauty that is hard to find anywhere else on Earth.
This package is built for first-timers and seasoned thrill-seekers alike. No prior experience is required for any activity — our certified guides and instructors handle all safety briefings and walk you through every step. Whether you are a group of college friends looking for an unforgettable long weekend, a couple seeking a unique escape, or a corporate team building bonds beyond the boardroom, the Rishikesh Adventure Pack delivers.
On Day 1, you will arrive in Rishikesh and dive straight into the action with an evening session of white water rafting on the legendary Shivpuri stretch — 16 kilometres of Grade II-III rapids that mix manageable thrills with breathtaking riverside scenery. After the rafting, your camp on the Ganga beach awaits. Fall asleep to the sound of the river, gather around a crackling bonfire, and experience a night sky you will not forget.
Day 2 is the heart of the package and arguably the most action-packed day of any Rishikesh itinerary. The morning begins with India's highest bungee jump at Jumpin Heights — 83 metres of pure freefall over a stunning Himalayan backdrop. One jump is included in your package price. After the bungee, you move to a guided kayaking session where you learn to paddle, steer, and read the river. The afternoon brings the crown jewel of Rishikesh rafting: the Marine Drive stretch, a 26-kilometre run that includes powerful Grade III-IV rapids with evocative names like 'The Wall', 'Roller Coaster', and 'Golf Course'. Along the way, your guide will point out spots for cliff jumping and body surfing in natural rock pools.
Day 3 starts gently — a morning swim in the Ganga, breakfast at camp, and a slow farewell to the river before you head home with stories that will outlast any souvenir. This package includes all meals from Day 1 evening through Day 3 breakfast, so you never have to think about food — just adventure.

What Travelers Say
Rishikesh Adventure Travel Guide – Everything You Need to Know
Rishikesh sits at an elevation of around 356 metres above sea level where the Ganga exits the Shivalik Hills and enters the plains of northern India. This geography creates the perfect conditions for white water rafting — a river that is powerful but navigable, flanked by forested hills and ancient temple ghats. It is no surprise that Rishikesh has become the adventure capital of India, drawing hundreds of thousands of visitors annually from across the country and the world.
Getting to Rishikesh
Rishikesh is exceptionally well-connected. From Delhi, it is roughly a 5–6 hour drive (250km) via the Delhi–Dehradun highway, making it one of the most popular long-weekend destinations in North India. The nearest railway station is Haridwar Junction (25km away), which has direct trains from Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and most major Indian cities. The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun, approximately 35km from Rishikesh, with daily flights from Delhi and seasonal connections from other metros.
Where to Stay in Rishikesh
Accommodation in Rishikesh ranges from basic ashram dormitories to riverside luxury resorts. For adventure travellers, beach camping on the Ganga offers the most immersive experience — falling asleep to the sound of the river and waking up to a Himalayan sunrise is genuinely unlike anything else. Budget travellers will find plenty of guesthouses in Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula areas with tariffs starting around ₹500/night. Mid-range hotels cluster along the main road and around Tapovan, while luxury properties like Ananda in the Himalayas cater to wellness-focused high-end visitors.
Top Adventure Activities in Rishikesh
White water rafting is the defining Rishikesh experience. The river is divided into several stretches based on difficulty: Brahmpuri (9km, Grade I-II, ideal for beginners and children), Shivpuri (16km, Grade II-III, the most popular), Marine Drive (26km, Grade III-IV, recommended for experienced rafters or those seeking a longer challenge), and the combined stretch from Kaudiyala (36km, Grade IV, expert level). Bungee jumping, giant swing, and flying fox at Jumpin Heights near Mohan Chatti are world-class operations. Kayaking, body surfing, cliff jumping, and zip-lining round out the adventure menu.
Spiritual and Cultural Highlights
Rishikesh is as spiritual as it is adventurous. The Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat at dusk is a moving experience — hundreds of lamps floated on the river while priests perform ancient fire rituals. The Beatles Ashram (Chaurasi Kutia), where the Fab Four famously retreated in 1968, is now an art-filled heritage site open to visitors. Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula, the iconic suspension bridges over the Ganga, are ringed with temples, cafes, and yoga schools.
Best Time to Visit Rishikesh for Adventure
February through May offers the best combination of comfortable temperatures and active river conditions. October and November are equally excellent, with crystal-clear skies post-monsoon. Avoid planning rafting or camping trips from mid-June through August when the monsoon swells the Ganga to dangerous levels and activities are suspended by government order. Winter months (December–January) are viable for day trips but cold nights make camping less enjoyable without proper gear.
Responsible Adventure Tourism
Junegiri Yatra is committed to sustainable and responsible tourism in Rishikesh. We work exclusively with certified river guides trained in swift-water rescue. We follow all National Green Tribunal guidelines for river-based activities. Our campsites practice zero-waste policies — no single-use plastic is used or permitted. We encourage all our guests to carry reusable water bottles and leave the riverbank cleaner than they found it. The Ganga is sacred; every traveller has a responsibility to protect her.
