Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1Arrive Delhi

Arrive at IGI Airport. Private transfer to hotel in Delhi. Rest and recover from journey. Welcome dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 2Delhi to Kasol (via Chandigarh)

Early morning private transfer to Kasol via Chandigarh and Bhuntar (approx. 9-10 hours). Stop in Bhuntar for lunch. Arrive in Kasol by evening — the Parvati River views from the guesthouse are spectacular. Local Israeli restaurants and Israeli bakeries nearby.

Day 3Kasol — Parvati Valley Exploration

Free morning in Kasol — cafes, local market, Parvati River walk. Afternoon short hike to Chalal village (30 min walk) — a quieter, more local experience. Evening back in Kasol. Plenty of options for vegetarian food, hummus, and falafel.

Day 4Trek — Kasol to Kheerganga (9,711 ft)

Trek from Nakthan to Kheerganga — 12 km, approx. 5-6 hours through dense forests and Himalayan villages. Arrive at Kheerganga's famous natural hot spring pool at 9,711 ft. Soak in the hot spring as the sun sets over the mountains. Overnight at camp.

Day 5Kheerganga — Morning Soak + Descent to Kasol

Morning dip in the hot springs at sunrise — one of the most peaceful moments of the trip. Descend back through the forest to Nakthan, then transfer to Bhuntar. Drive to McLeod Ganj (approx. 4 hours). Check in.

Day 6McLeod Ganj — Dalai Lama Complex + Tibetan Culture

Morning visit to the Dalai Lama Complex — Tsuglagkhang Temple, Tibet Museum, and the monastery where you may attend a public teaching if scheduled. Afternoon: Tibetan market, momos lunch, Namgyal Monastery. Evening: local cafe culture in McLeod Ganj.

Day 7Trek — McLeod Ganj to Triund (9,350 ft)

Trek from McLeod Ganj to Triund — 9 km, approx. 4 hours. The Dhauladhar range towers above you throughout the climb. Arrive at Triund meadow at 9,350 ft. Sunset over the plains of Punjab on one side, Dhauladhar peaks on the other. Overnight at fixed camp.

Day 8Triund Sunrise + Drive to Amritsar

Wake at 5 AM for the Triund sunrise — one of the finest in Himachal Pradesh. Descent after breakfast, then drive to Amritsar via Pathankot (approx. 4-5 hours). Check in at hotel in Amritsar.

Day 9Amritsar — Golden Temple at Dawn + Wagah Border

5 AM visit to Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple) before crowds arrive — the reflection of gold on the sacred pool in early morning light is unforgettable. Free time for the Amritsar langar (world's largest free community kitchen — 100,000 meals/day). Evening: Wagah Border ceremony — India-Pakistan flag lowering with marching soldiers and enormous crowd energy.

Day 10Amritsar — Jallianwala Bagh + Partition Museum

Morning visit to Jallianwala Bagh (historic site of 1919 massacre). The Partition Museum — the world's first museum dedicated to the Partition of India — is essential for understanding modern South Asia. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Amritsar.

Day 11Amritsar to Delhi (Train or Flight)

Transfer to Amritsar station or airport. Train to Delhi (5.5 hours) or flight (1.5 hours) depending on your preference. Afternoon/evening in Delhi — Connaught Place, India Gate, or rest before final departure.

Day 12Delhi — Departure

Private transfer to IGI Airport. Trip ends. Optional: add a Taj Mahal day trip from Delhi if your flight departs late.
