Navratri (9 nights) in Haridwar is a continuous festival of temple pujas, evening aartis at Har Ki Pauri, and devotional singing. The Mansa Devi and Chandi Devi hilltop temples (both Shakti Peethas — seats of the Divine Feminine) are particularly active during Navratri with extended darshan hours and special pujas. Every evening of Navratri, the Ganga Aarti is more elaborate than usual, with additional lamp ceremonies. The ghat steps are lined with marigold garlands and earthen lamps. Rajaji National Park reopens after the monsoon closure on October 15.
