Frequently Asked Questions

The Pushkar Camel Fair is held annually around Kartik Poornima (full moon in November). In 2026, it will be around November 11–19, 2026, with the peak days November 16–19. Accommodation in Pushkar fills completely — book 5–6 months in advance for the main fair days.

Jaisalmer Desert Festival is a 3-day cultural extravaganza held in January/February (usually on the 3 days preceding Maha Shivratri). Events include camel races, folk performances, turban tying competitions, and the famous Mr Desert contest — all set against the golden Jaisalmer Fort backdrop and Sam Sand Dunes.

Yes — camel safari and desert camping near Sam Sand Dunes (Jaisalmer), Khuri, or Osian are popular year-round, but October through February offers the most comfortable experience. Summer desert camping (May-June) is possible but temperatures drop to 25°C only after midnight. Night temperatures in January-February can reach 5–8°C, so carry warm layers for desert camping.
