Frequently Asked Questions — April
April provides the ideal combination: snow is present on the summit ridge for the authentic mountaineering experience, but not so deep as to be dangerous. Temperatures are tolerable and rhododendrons create a stunning backdrop.
Previous trekking experience above 4,000m is recommended. The summit push involves a 70° snow slope requiring crampons and basic rope technique, which our guides will teach on Day 1 of the trek.
With Junegiri Yatra's experienced guides and weather monitoring, the April summit success rate is above 80%. We allow an extra acclimatisation day if weather requires adjustment.
